Keep Fast Food Away
According to doctors, fast food and
junk food kill the appetite. Due to high amount of calories found in fast food
and junk food, children begin to feel hungry and they keep
searching for excuses not to eat. So, keep away your children from junk food. The habit of childhood is
useful throughout the life, so you should give junk food to your children only
once or twice a week.
Don’t give water after meal
In Ayurveda, the problem of constipation
by drinking water immediately after meals has been reported. If you and your
child also facing the problem of loss of appetite. So, do not drink water after
having the food.
Because
by doing this, the problem of constipation arises which becomes the main reason
for loss of appetite. Therefore, one should not drink water or at least while
eating food. You can drink half an hour
after eating and even before half an hour.
Constipation problem
Children
who have constipation problem do not feel like eating anything due to this
problem. So, if your children also have constipation problem, then you solve
their problem first and then see how your child shows his interest towards
food. You can also give Triphala powder to your child with lukewarm water or
warm milk to relieve constipation. This will provide quick relief from this
problem.
Eat apple
An apple is very helpful to increase
the appetite in children. If you sprinkle black salt on an apple that will
be more beneficial. Consuming an apple daily cleanses the blood of a child and
increases his appetite.
Many children are
reluctant to eat apples, then you can also give apple juice or puree to the
child by adopting the second option.
Green Vegetables
Green vegetables are rich in calcium which are very helpful to increase the appetite. It also
removes the problem of constipation, due to which there is no gas in the
stomach and the stomach of the child becomes light, which increases his
appetite. Therefore,
you must make your children consume green vegetables.
Mint
Mint is also very useful to increase the
appetite. You can give mint chutney to your child. If your child is not ready
to eat chutney then you can mix a little honey in mint juice and mix two teaspoons of this
mixture in lukewarm water and give it to your child in the morning.
Carom seeds, asafoetida and cinnamon
For increasing the appetite, Carom
seeds is very good home remedies. It is safer for 6-month-old baby. You can
give carom seed in the form of water. It is very effective treatment for
removing the gas from stomach. If your child has started taking solid food then
you can add carom seeds in the parantha.
Besides this, you can use asafoetida
in khichdi, buttermilk etc for you child.
Cinnamon
has a special element that works to increase appetite in children. You can give
cinnamon to children by mixing it with kheer, pudding, potato bran, cake pastry
etc.
Turmeric
Turmeric does not
allow insects to thrive in your baby's stomach and release from the indigestion
problem. You can add turmeric in daal and khichdi and give to six-month-old
baby.
Carrot Juice
Carrot
juice contains many nutritious ingredients. Drinking
half a carrot juice before eating food increases hunger in children as well as
elders
Curd or Lassi
Curd, buttermilk and lassi are very
good option for increase the appetite. You can give it to 8- to 9-month-old
baby. But remember, if you will give curd in excess amount to child then it reduces the appetite. Always give a little white salt, black salt, asafoetida
and cumin powder mixed with buttermilk.
Litchi
Litchi is very beneficial for
children but if litchi is consumed before meals, it will
increase the appetite of children.
Black pepper, cardamom and ginger
Regular
use of black pepper, cardamom and ginger keeps the digestive system, intestines
and liver intact. If your children do not like to eat them, then you can mix
them in their favourite food. You can also give Tulsi to children older than 8
or 9 months because Tulsi strengthens the digestive system of children and
helps in digestion of diet.
Ghee
Ghee
improves digestive power in children and also improves the level of
intelligence and skin complexion. You can give ghee to your children if he has allergic
to milk.
Water
Taking
appropriate amount of water also removes many stomach diseases, which makes the
stomach lighter and increases hunger. For this, keep water in a copper vessel
overnight and feed the baby on an empty stomach in the morning. Will definitely
benefit.
Colourful food
The
child loves colours so if you want to increase your child's appetite, then make
his food attractive, like making sandwiches using different colours or cut two
or three different fruits in an attractive way and serve it in front of the
child.
Don’t force them
Never
force children to eat food by force, by doing so, the child will lose interest
in food. If the child does not want to eat, feed him after some time. Do not
let the child drink water immediately after eating. Drinking water right after
a meal makes a difference on the child's appetite.
Let them play
Play
with the child and let him play. Encourage the child to play such games so that
they remain physically active. Running and playing will make the child tired
and his appetite will also increase. Take him to the park and by playing with
other children there, not only will he be happy but he will also get good
exercise.
Perfect routine
Even
if the child's eating routine is not right, the child's appetite decreases and he
/ she does not feel hungry. Therefore, to make the child feel hungry regularly,
make a time table and feed the child accordingly.
Some
more important things to increase hunger in children

Make it a habit for the children to eat at the appropriate time and when the
child takes food, do not give him anything for at least 2 hours.

When your child is eating, then you should turn off video games and television.
Eating alone also reduces appetite. So always feed your child by sitting with
the family.
• Both
cow's milk and milk powder reduce the infant's appetite. So, give milk to your
baby only two to three times a day. Apart from that, focus on solid food only.
